28 weeks

This week I will be 28 weeks. Which means I am in my third trimester!! I am into the long haul now. It is hot outside here and I am trying not to turn on the AC but we give in at night so everyone can sleep. This week it is going to be in the lower to mid 90s for the next four days. I love hot weather and I love the beach but when I am so many pounds heavier and I have this since big belly in front of me the HOT HOT weather is not so great! Anyways, it could always be worse and I am not complaining just updating. It has been a long couple of weeks. Jared has been waking up a lot at night and the little one wants to then wake up too.

So the exciting news is that Jared finally felt her kick!!! Jared thought it was pretty cute. It was a pretty exciting moment for our little family. Jared is pretty protective of me. Sometimes the little one likes to kick pretty hard and I make a ouch noise and Jared tells the baby to not hurt mommy. It is sweet. I tell Jared that it is and she is not hurting me, she just sometimes kicks hard and I am not ready for it. He then tells the baby to not kick mommy because it is not nice. I smile and say it is okay we want her to kick mommy because then we know she is doing good and she is happy.

Also, Jared is being such a good big brother already. When we go to bed at night he always says good night to this baby sister. It is sweet. I love him and I hope he is still so excited about his little sister when she gets here.

Let's see. We have been painting some of the house and it is starting to look great. We have not decorated very much but painting is going good. One room at a time and we have enough paint for 5 more rooms and then I think we will be taking a break until next year. We painted Jared's room and it is looking good. I will put some pictures up when we start to get things on the wall but it may be a while. The next room we are painting is the baby's room. I just want top finish Jared's room first. I am on a deadline and I would like it to be painted by the time my parents come out to visit in July. I would like to also have the crib up by the time they leave. I am due at the end of august but I am hoping to go early and I would like to have Jared's room and the baby's room done by the last week in July.

Okay, so this is what has been going on. There has actually been a lot more going on but I will update everyone with that in time. Just not yet.

So here are some details:

I am 28 weeks. If I go until my due date (which I did with Jared) I have 12 more weeks. However the baby is considered full term at 36 weeks and I could go at anytime after that and that is in 8 weeks!!(reality is starting to set in)

Jared's room is blue.

I slipped the other day when Jared was talking to my parents and he told them the baby's name. Ugh!!! We are still trying to keep it a surprise.

Baby's room colors are going to be yellow walls and pink accents.

Okay hope everyone is doing well and we miss everyone in Milwaukee and we can not wait to see everyone next year or has family and friends are able to visit.
