Ultrasound Day!!!

So today is the day. Today is the day I woke up and had to drink 24oz of liquid an hour before my ultrasound appointment and not pee. Well, let me tell you. I was up most of the night between peeing and dreaming about the outcome of the ultrasound. Let's just say I did not get a whole lot of sleep last night. Way too much excitement running through my body and nerves of not being able to pee for an hour or two with lots of liquids in me. So anyways, I woke up at 6:50am and came down stairs let the dog out and woke up Chris. I made muffins for breakfast so I would be more likely to want to drink something. Finally, Jared woke up (I woke Jared up) and we eat breakfast and left the house.

OK...

We are at the doctor's office and I have to talk to some woman about my billing info and blah blah blah. Anyways, we get called into the ultrasound room. Room #2. I lay down and I tell the woman that we would like to know the sex of our baby. I warned her that I figured out what Jared was before the ultrasound tech did. So I tried not to be so jumpy this time and just enjoy the experience.

Well, we say the head and the tummy and the spin and the feet and the arms and the everything!!! Finally she says...

It's a GIRL!!

But I am going to do some double checking just in case. I did not get excited at all. Well, I looked at Chris with a huge smile. Then after another couple more looks at the baby in a couple of different angles...She was positive that it was a girl.

AAAHHHHH!!!! It's a GIRL!! I of course turn to Chris and said we are having a girl and he and I were beyond excited and within the next couple of sentences I said, "and I didn't even have to sleep with the milk man!!!!" LOL This is a little bit of a running joke between him and I.

So Jared is very excited about have a baby sister and he can not wait until he is a big brother. We know that he is going to do a great job.

Jared came to the ultrasound with us and he was in just as much amazement at how we could see the baby as we were. Things have really come a long with since we had Jared. We got to see her heart beating, we saw her bring her hands and fingers up to her mouth and we saw her open and close her mouth while she was playing with her tongue. Jared made us all laugh when we saw she opening and closing her mouth because Jared said "it looks like a shark!!" Got to love the perspective of a three year old.

Her perfect little foot.

Anyways, I am sorry if this post seems to be a little disorganized. I am very excited and wanted to be able to put something up for you all. I will keep you up to date with everything coming up. Love you all and everyone that is looking at these posts and keeping up date with us is truly important to us in our lives.
